What, if any, is the link from Martin Heidegger to adventure motorcyclists’ heaven, the Touratech showroom and HQ? Its here:

Another trip to Hertford
Bertha goes for her yearly check up. Was it my imagination that she was that much smoother to ride on the way home?
I also had a chance to look at the new water-cooled 1200gs Adventure. It seems huge, in fact so did any bike there called an ‘Adventure’. I don’t think its on my shopping list.
Apparently they are selling bikes like hot cakes at the moment.
A lighter adventure motorcycle
Sometimes I think how good it would be to be riding a really light bike. The BMW Sertao caught my imagination when I borrowed it last year. How good a long-distance traveller would it be?
Here’s someone who smeared his in Araldite then rode it through a Touratech showroom. You’ve got to wonder how that little single cylinder engine copes with all this stuff.
More slow speed riding
Not really feeling like doing much at the moment, I couldn’t let a dry and sunny day go by without taking Bertha out. Being in the garage for three weeks, with no way of keeping the battery on charge she just about started. It was great to get out on the road – in the sunshine.
Slow speed work, Ely at EveryTrail
Did I ride round and round some fields? No, Google maps still haven’t updated the Park and Ride at Milton.
International Journal of Motorcycle Studies
I’m not sure whether to be disappointed (because some of the speakers are cool – Like Lois Pryce) – or relieved (is that what academics are really like? – oh no!) to have missed this conference.
Here’s a great video of this conference held at Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London in July 2013
IJMS Conference + Exhibition 2013 from IJMS on Vimeo.
In 2014 its in Colorado so I probably won’t be going.
Ride to Ely
First ride for four weeks – on a motorcycle that is.
