OK the other trauma
I can only just bear to write this. A little over a year ago I joined the Cambridge branch of the IAM, the M in this instance standing for Motorcyclists. Getting personalised tuition and feedback about my riding has been amazing and has transformed it – from complete mess to slightly less of a mess. I took the test to be admitted to full membership of the IAM on Monday and failed. Like my first DSA test failure back in 2007 it was about not not shifting enough ( I mean riding too slowly). These verdicts are terrible. I haven’t felt the same since, its incredibly dispiriting. There’s a lot more could be said…

NatWest bank was among those affected by the computer problem that led some customers to nearly have their family member’s life support machines turned off.
Not surprisingly, the bank want to make it clear that they are taking this seriously, so seriously in fact that the worker whose normally smiling face appears on their log-in screen has changed to this:

From home to Hertford to Subdury to home
An early morning start to get down to SBW in Hertford before they opened, then a hugely circuitous (my gloved finger must have selected Peterborough by mistake) route to find the Adventure Bike Shop in Acton near Subdbury, Suffolk without success(where do they hide it?) but some good roads and a great cuppa and BLT roll on the Inca Trading Estate. Four and a half hours riding in beautiful sunshine! How lucky because it has been raining ever since.

So this is open streetMap. First I am moving, then I am not, then I am extending the house, now it looks ridiculously expensive. Perhaps I will try to sell again.
