MOT day ride
From home to Hertford to Subdury to home
An early morning start to get down to SBW in Hertford before they opened, then a hugely circuitous (my gloved finger must have selected Peterborough by mistake) route to find the Adventure Bike Shop in Acton near Subdbury, Suffolk without success(where do they hide it?) but some good roads and a great cuppa and BLT roll on the Inca Trading Estate. Four and a half hours riding in beautiful sunshine! How lucky because it has been raining ever since.
Quarter of a turn
A quarter of a turn around Cambridge
My sense of the geography around Cambridge, where I’ve lived for decades, is confused. I’m finally getting the hang of it and want to be able to ride in a big circle around it without getting stuck on the boring A14. This trip is a couple of hours riding on a sunny saturday. The most exciting part was Caxton to Comberton,
Arriving in Gwydir Street

Farewell to Stone Terrace
On June 8th I finally cleared up and moved out. Its strange how easy it is to disengage from a space that you have lived in. I took some short videos just before I left for the last time.upstairs1
Blast to Peterborough
The excuse for the trip was having to pick up a parcel from the ridiculously distant PDP depot. The high point of the trip was the handmade sponge cake and cuppa at exotic Sainsbury’s Peterborough, and narrowly avoiding being backed into by someone in the car park. The route back home via Whittlesea and Coates (where I bought my first bike) and March is not that good on reflection. But what a beatuiful day, the temperature heading to 28 degrees on the bike.
