{"id":2283,"date":"2018-04-07T17:25:04","date_gmt":"2018-04-07T17:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.obliquepanic.com\/?p=2283"},"modified":"2018-04-07T17:25:04","modified_gmt":"2018-04-07T17:25:04","slug":"back-on-the-roads-of-east-anglia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/obliquepanic.com\/blog\/biking\/back-on-the-roads-of-east-anglia\/","title":{"rendered":"Back on the roads (of East Anglia)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The worst of the winter past and a battery throbbing with volts back into the bike, it has been dry enough to get out on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend or so I found some roads close to Cambridge that I am sure I have never visited before:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.obliquepanic.com\/?attachment_id=2284\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2284\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2284\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.obliquepanic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-24-at-23.08.48-1024x669.png\" alt=\"gpx trail\" width=\"662\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And today I rediscovered the nice route down to Saffron Walden and back via Little Walden and Linton &#8211; only 38 miles, it felt like a longer trip:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.obliquepanic.com\/?attachment_id=2285\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2285\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2285\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.obliquepanic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Screen-Shot-2018-04-07-at-18.15.17-1024x943.png\" alt=\"saffron walden route\" width=\"662\" height=\"610\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Poor old bike has not been properly cleaned for nearly a year and is showing signs of wear &#8211; the dreaded bubbling paint on the cylinder heads and rusty fastenings. Today I attacked a couple of selected regions for some muc off treatment.
